Removed my dpf by cutting it out and had a remap with extra bhp added, car very lively but can't tell you about economy as don't do a great deal of miles, MOT due in April !! I'm told that at the MOT stage unless they take the canister off they won't know that it has been removed, unless it fails on the smoke test as there's no dpf to help This resets the readiness bits and they check them again. If the still say "OK" they know the car is lying to them and the readiness bits are "hard wired" - and you fail again. In short, there is a chance that a DPF delete and Malone tune will pass an OBDII only readiness check. However, there is also a chance that it will fail big time.
This has always been a risk, but with the higher temperature as a result of a DPF burnoff it is even more of a risk. The solution is to avoid long grass, or if you must drive through it constantly

KCRebel, on the other hand, couldn’t disagree more. “Deleting has never been a fad. It was a performance and longevity necessity. That still holds true with the 6.7 and will continue with all diesel engines as long as the EPA continues to add longevity, power, and performance robbing restrictions to diesel motors.

It will have had a DPF. Look on www.realoem.com - put the last 7 digits of your VIN into the box at the top of the page and it'll bring up your exact car. Look on the engine diagram and you'll see

Anytime you tamper (not repair) your machine you can kiss your warranty and trade-in goodbye. Dealers won’t risk their reputation on a deleted or tuned machine come trade-in time. Not to mention your warranty will be void. Forget calling about anything that fails on that machine. You’re not held hostage to going to a dealer for repairs
