In short it's a sprint car, or for the higher speed circuits, and it will struggle a lot on the real tight technical stuff. (it's also a bit tricky to control in general) The MP4-12C on the other hand is a handling car, it's *fantastic* on the tight technical circuits (with 1 exception) but it's not very fast at the top end.
Pretty much any car that is RWD and has a lot of power can be fun to drift with. My race-tuned E36 M3 ended up being my favorite drifter of all the non-Formula Drift cars in the game. For me, the Formula Drift RX-8 comes really well tuned out of the box. My go to drift car for sure. I'm on controller btw.
